Brian Caballero was born in Buenos Aires in 1983, and he lives in Mar del Plata since the year 2008. He started studying bandoneon with the renowned musician Alejandro Barletta, who teached Brian his technique for playing baroque, classical and contemporary music. After some time tango appeared in Brian's artistic development and became the main focus of his musical interest. The secrets of tango playing he owes to the acclaimed tango musician Rodolfo Mederos.

Brian Caballero’s intention has  been to expand the possibilities of the bandoneon, always searching for new repertoire. This approach leaded him to participate in solo, orchestral and ensembles performances playing multiple genres such us traditional tango, Piazzolla’s music, argentinian folklore, electrotango, progressive rock, contemporary music and world music. He premiered works as a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica Brasileira (Brasil), Orquesta Filarmónica de Montevideo (Uruguay) and Banda Sinfónica de Mar del Plata (Argentina). He also performed bandoneon concerts in many cities of South America and Europe.

He also recorded with singers and musicians from Argentina and Brazil as well as film music for a variety of projects.

As a teacher he works in the Instituto del Profesorado de Arte in Mar del Plata teaching bandoneon technique and interpretation. He also gives workshops about tango history, tango playing and Astor Piazzolla's music.
